Author Bio

It has been a long time coming and I feel that I am just on the brink of finally being where I want to be in life.  For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to write.  Life is full of great stories, lessons, opportunities, and, my favorite, romance.  When I say romance, I mean all of those wonderful things that we fall in love with, including our lovely partners.

For me, I fell in love with writing as a young child but it wasn't encouraged in my home.  I used to sneak into the bathroom just to dream up stories as fast as I could before returning to finish chores.  Though I grew up in a good home, I was different.  As I grew, my dreams took me to far places, meeting new people, tasting new food, smelling new aromas, and finding love in the least expected places.

As an adult, all I could think about was finding ways to help people.  Other than writing, helping people better their lives and living free from tough situations was a passion.  I love and believe in people.  Also, I knew at a young age that "what goes around comes around."  Though I didn't know when I would finally get to put my dreams in print, I always believed it would happen.  Now, people are helping me to get there. That is very exciting!

After living in numerous states in the U.S. and completing my B.A. in Counseling and my M.Ed. in Counselor Education, I was making progress in my chosen career.  After many traumatic events in my life, I soon realized that if I didn't start doing what I was put on this earth to do that I wouldn't live as happy a life as I could.  I left my counseling practice and began putting my methods and my dreams on paper, feeling that I could make a bigger difference that way.

My philosophy in life is fairly simple: Do whatever you have to do in order to get your heart and mind in alignment so that you can live the way that you know, deep down inside, that you want to live!  And, along the way of getting there and beyond, love the world, its people, its creatures, its formations, and realize that we are all very small.  I believe in the power of relationships and the need to cherish and honor those that you hold close to your heart.  With only one life to live, why wouldn't we want to love?

My writing is eclectic.  I write about relationships, having experienced a few and counseled several.  Trauma is in my writing because I understand the influence that trauma has on the lives it affects.  I write thrillers, which are largely based on relationships and the strong, emotionally charged catalyst they can be.  I write YA fantasies because I believe in dream worlds.  I write poetry as often as I can.  Poetry wraps everything into the most rythmic analogies known to the human race (so I believe).  In any case, I can only hope that my writing touches you on some level and causes you to feel!  Thank you for reading.
